No matter whether you’re age 30 or 60, the science behind what your body requires to stay youthful doesn’t change. To feel strong, healthy, vibrant and pain free, your workout should help you to build strength and mobility while being respectful to the natural limitations of your musculoskeletal system. Your own personal muscle flexibility and the capacity of your joints, tendons and ligaments to withstand impact, positions or twists are important factors to consider when taking on a fitness class or activity. If they are ignored, you can be left with pain and injury. Essentrics is a functional fitness class designed to address the needs of your full body: to build global strength and mobility while being respectful to its natural limitations.

There are few, if any, interesting and effective workouts that speak to the needs of a 21st century human body. No matter your age, you should have healthy joints, healthy connective tissue, healthy muscles, and should be fully mobile and strong. Most workouts don’t consider the effects that the movements and exercises are having on your entire system, but instead are driven by the end result of strength and shape.

Registration is per 2-month sessions. Prices are based on $10 per class, per person.
Spots are limited.
Beginners can join any class on any day offered and are required to pay for the remainder of the session.

Wear comfortable 'yoga' attire. Bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
Essentrics is done bare foot.

I am an Essentrics®️ instructor in Dieppe, NB. I have been teaching movement since 2005. Through my own life experiences, I have been shown time and again the importance of daily movement in our lives.
I was born with a broken spinous process of the L5 causing the L5 to slip up to 52% over the years. As a child, doctors didn't think much of my back pain. In my late teens, the pain got worse and I started to get tingling in my legs. By my 20s, the pain was chronic. X-rays and MRIs where taken and the L5 slippage was discovered. I tried medication, physiotherapy and acupuncture to alleviate the pain. I was put on a waiting list for a spinal fusion surgery.
During that time, I discovered the healing benefits of gentle movement. I was able to rebalance my back muscles, get rid of the chronic pain and stop the L5 from further slippage. I am grateful to say I never went for the operation. Essentrics has rebalanced my body, got rid of the pain, and keeps me int the best shape of my life.
