The world has been hit with Covid-19, which has led us all to be quarantined. What are we to do?

Quarantined: For many, it is a time of loss of income, stress and anxiety. Our two kids are spending their days at home; my daughter is catching up on her drawing passion, and my son is doing college work with his fellow classmates and teacher via computer. As for myself, as a stay-at-home mom, blogger, and Essentrics instructor, it is a time to change things up a bit. Something I think I needed and will benefit from.

I’m going to make this a positive thing. I will trick my mind into thinking this is simply a change of pace. Weeks that are partly vacation and partly “catching up” on things unfinished.

Studio Closure Challenge

It’s a weird time right now. We are in uncharted territory. It seems all our activities are being cancelled. . Experts stress that we should avoid public places and stay home… yet, staying cooped up inside isn’t necessarily healthy.

WHAT ARE WE TO DO? – Stress and anxiety are not good for our health. This is a well known fact. (Being quarantined may be causing lots of it.) It is important to give our immune system a fighting change by choosing to eat well, get rest, and stay active.

Here is my 3 step challenge.

1. Move for a minimum of 15 minutes daily. 2. Post a photo or a comment on this page for accountability. 3. Feel proud that you did your body good.


1. In the kitchen? Try dancing to your favorite song. 2. Brushing your teeth? Do some pliés. 3. Go for a 15min walk and breath some fresh air. 4. Do an Essentrics TV workout. 5. Do a mini Essentrics workout from youTube. 6. Pick-up the old hula hoop or skipping rope and give it a try. 7. Learn a new line dance sequence from youTube.

And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal. And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.
