I have just spent a full week in Montreal to further my Essentrics Training. It was my first time taking live training with Essentrics. Being me, I went all in. I attended a 3-day Live Teacher Training Level 3 AND a 3-day Live Teacher Training level 4. It was the best thing I could have done. As a certified Level 2 instructor, this training helped me in many ways.
My mind is trying to process everything. If anything, it has increased my drive and my passion to help people understand their bodies. To teach them how to heal and even age backwards one cell at a time. It is really a fascinating program that is being called "softs medicine" by doctors at Harvard University who are running interesting studies using this program. (but that could be a whole other posts)
ESSENTRICS is a dynamic strength and stretch workout for all fitness levels that tones, shapes and rebalances the entire body... one cell at a time.
While in Montreal, I had the wonderful experience of hanging out at the Essentrics headquarters where I talked with Miranda Esmonde-White, as well as her daughter Sahra Esmonde-White, co-founders of Essentrics. I also had the opportunity to talk with the leading instructors at Essentrics. (Meg Feeney, Gail Garceau, Amanda Cyr, Laurence Bonneville, etc). Everyone of these instructors have changed people's lives. Teaching participants how to unlock their bodies. Which in turn increases their mobility and flexibility. Relieving years of pain.
I was a little star-struck when I saw Gail Garceau for the first time. Gail is one of the master instructors at Essentrics. She is an amazing person and knowledgeable Essentrics Instructor.
During this training, I made friends with fellow instructors. It feels like we are our own tribe. A group of people on the similar path of teaching others how to heal their bodies through movement... one cell at a time. We all have our own story of how we got on our journey of becoming certified Essentrics Instructors. We each have a story of how Essentrics healed our bodies. How the results amazed us and how we now want to share this amazing program with anyone willing to try it and feel the benefits for themselves.
“Relaxation is the new strengthening. Mobility is the signature of youth!” ~ Miranda
I can't say enough about this program and the techniques. Once my mind settles, I will be posting more on the subject of healing our bodies through movement. Until then, I must get back to my studies about the human body's Anatomy and Physiology as well as my Essentrics studies.
Yours in health, Nancy Shimmy
