Depression. Anxiety. Burnout.
This is a though one. Like all of you I have had life experiences that have made me stronger; death of a close friend, death of a family member, a burnout, a depression, a broken heart, an injury, chronic pain, etc. Which one was the hardest for me to go through? This deserves some thought.
I choose to talk about depression and burnouts. Why? Because I learned so much through that experience and because many of you have gone through this, are going through this, or are heading in that direction. Some of you may never personally experience this but know someone who has or is living with depression, and maybe you cannot comprehend how someone can’t just “suck it up already”.
If you truly want to help someone you know that is going through depression. The best way to help someone living with depression is to understand what depression is and how it effects them.
As for myself.. I am now the happiest I have ever been and will never let myself go down that road again. I know the signs, not to mention that my tolerance for stress and negativity is now practically zero. I’m strongly affected physically, emotionally and mentally by negativity whether it’s from a situation, person or place. Shield-up!! My fellow empaths will get this… although we are all empaths on various levels. 😉
Depression, Anxiety, and Panic Attacks are NOT a sign of weakness. These are signs of having tried to remain strong for way too long. If you know someone who is experiencing this, please let them know that they are not alone, that they are loved and surrounded by people who care!
You are not alone,
